Personally, traveling has always been about connecting with people, finding purpose, and discovering something deeper within ourselves.

Born and raised in Tanzania, I have always carried a deep love for my country, its people, and the rich cultural diversity. Before starting my MBA at the University of Minnesota, and being in a foreign land far away from home, I felt the obligation to do something meaningful for my people back home. I wanted to reflect the true face of Tanzania to the world.

While abroad, I realized just how curious and eager people are to explore new cultures. My home, a land so richly blessed with natural wonders, vibrant traditions, and soul-stirring beauty, is a perfect destination for anyone seeking to explore nature, experience cultural diversity, or simply refresh from fast-paced life. That vision became Travnia, a social enterprise travel company inspired by my roots and shaped by purpose. Each journey we design is created with care.

Through these journeys, I share Tanzania’s beauty while investing in the communities that raised me. Travnia is my way of giving back and building a bridge that connects people across cultures, fosters understanding, and celebrates the spirit of discovery.

The proceeds from Travnia are reinvested in Parenova Foundation, a non-governmental organization dedicated to uplifting the living standards of uneducated single parents in rural Tanzania. In turn, travelers visiting through Travnia will not only experience Tanzania’s wonders but also have the opportunity to engage with the rich cultural diversity within its communities
